One of the best scenes in movies history, in my opinion, though this photoset doesn’t show why it is so great; it omits the following moments where Frankenstein’s creation- a monster who was essentially “just born”- realizes that the little girl is not like a flower and will not float if she cannot swim, which she can’t, so she drowns. He realizes what he has done and grows incredibly upset and angry with himself, and runs off to hide in seclusion, where humans will eventually burn him alive. This scene turns a “monster” human and his human creator into the true monster. The metaphors are endless, the connections to society are always going to be relevant, and the emotion is as poignant the first time you see it as it is the 50th time. If you’ve never seen the movie, I highly recommend it- it captures the brilliance of the book and then some.Well I guess next time I should get your amazing film opinions before spending forever making a photoset as to not disappoint her highness.
