He realizes what he has done and grows incredibly upset and angry with himself, and runs off to hide in  seclusion, where humans will eventually burn him alive. This scene turns a “monster” human and his human creator into the true monster. The metaphors are endless, the connections to society are always going to be relevant, and the emotion is as poignant the first time you see it as it is the 50th time.
